The Champagne Valley region of the Central Drakensberg offers some excellent dining options from family style venues to some up market 5 star dining. This is our guide to the Central Drakensberg Restaurants we think you will enjoy.
Pick of the bunch for the month. March 2021.
Rusty’s pub and grill is not the sort of place one would go out to for a formal occasion but it is a fun place to visit. As the name applies,I don’t know if intended or not, the venue is very “rustic” but it has a large pub and beautiful views over the Champagne valley, with the backdrop of the full Central Drakensberg mountain range. The food is good and prepared under the careful supervision of Maria previously of the Portuguese Bistro. The menu is not extensive but has some nice specialties. It is open evenings but it is suggested that you phone beforehand as Covid19 has had its impact on opening hours. 083 7851693
